Contact Details
Since RDS was founded in 1948, numerous productions have been performed on the stage at the Rottingdean Village Hall on Park Road. Unlike other companies and Society's, RDS do not have their own dedicated theatre and rehearsal space, however four times a year, the Rottingdean Village Hall is transformed into a warm and welcoming theatre for each production.
In this section, you will find information on our Box Office, addresses, how to contact our members and travel information.

Travel Information
Public Transport
Rottingdean Drama Society supports the local environment and community in every way possible. In an attempt to reduce traffic in Rottingdean village, please attempt to use public transport.
Buses
The nearest bus stop to the theatre is across the main coast road, Marine Drive, opposite the White Horse Hotel at the trafic lights function that joins the High Street to Marine Drive.
The number 2, 2A, 14, 27, 47 and 712 buses stop at this stop frequently. For more information visit the Brighton and Hove Buses website.
Trains
Unfortunately, Rottingdean isn't serviced by the train network. However, Brighton Station isn't too far away. So if you are travelling by train, make your way to Brighton Station and then catch the 2 or 2A bus from Churchill Square, which is signposted from the station as City Centre. See above for bus information.
Driving Directions
From the West, take the A259 coast road Eastwards past Brighton and Roedean. Follow the road and pass the round-about for Ovingdean. Then continue down the hill towards the trafic lights. Just before you arrive at the bottom, turn left into Park Road.
Parking
Park Road has a very limited number of free spaces, but these are for 1 hour only, 9am to 8pm. If driving is your only option, the best parking is found at two public car parks.
The first is Rottingdean West Street Car Park, which is located behind the Village Hall, with a capacity of 65 vehicles. Vehicular access is via West Street, off from the High Street or coast road, Marine Drive. The post code is BN2 7HP. The hourly charge is 50p. For information visit the council website.
The second is a long term car park, off the Marine Drive towards Saltdean and the East, called Rottingdean Marine Car Park. This is further away than the first. The post code is BN2 7HQ. The hourly charge is 40p. For information visit the council website.
