The Goose Girl
A pantomime, by John Nicholson. Directed by Audrey Pickles
January 2007

Synopsis
Adapted from the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, this story has all the classic elements of a traditional pantomime including a beautiful Princess, handsome Prince, good Fairy Godmother, wicked Witch, and a delectable Dame. Will the Witch have her wicked way? Who gets to marry the Prince? Does the Dame bake a great cake? Join the fun and find out. You can hiss and boo the baddies, and cheer on the heroes.
A traditional style pantomime with a Dame, Comic, Principal Girl and a female Principal Boy! There is even a horse! Also appearing are several young dancers from Victoria Richards' dancing school.
The story is based on the fairy tale by Grimm where the evil witch seeks her revenge on the King of Kalabrian by forcing the Princess to become a Goose Girl. In true pantomime tradition, she is saved from this role by her fairy Godmother.
